The Dreamsbay Company The Dreamsbay Company |
What to expect if you hire us
Here at Dreamsbay, we like to say we're in the realization business: that is, the business of giving our clients' ideas form using print, video, or interactive media as our raw materials. To do so, we engage in a cooperative process with our clients to ensure that our end results aren't so much Dreamsbay creations as real collaborations. Strategy Consultation
The first step in our process is the strategy consultation. At this initial meeting, we sit down with you to discuss your goals, your tastes, and your needs. We'll create an outline for the content, sketch out general directions for the design, and discuss which members of the Dreamsbay Network might be required. By the end of this meeting, we should walk away with a timeline, a budget, a preliminary outline, some design ideas, and most importantly, a strategy for your project. Once those key components are in place, then we start creating. Content Creation & Design
Next, our team and your team often retreat to our separate camps with what is essentially a sizeable homework assignment. On our end, we'll start drafting design 'comps,' or sketches of how your project might look. On your end, unless you also hired us to do the writing for your project, you'll be assembling the actual written material for your website, brochure, or video piece. As we craft our designs, we strive to infuse the project with style and straightforward simplicity to make it both beautiful and usable. Often, this stage of the project is iterative, and design comps and content drafts fly fast and furious between our respective e-mailboxes. When these are finalized, that's when the real work begins. Construction & Refinement
In this stage, we bring it all together. Magazines are assembled, websites are programmed, and cameras roll. This is where the Dreamsbay client extranet proves its worth: a password-protected section of our website where you can track the progress of your project as it takes shape. As work progresses, we post PDFs, beta versions or video clips for you to review and approve and edit as we go. Whether we're working on location or ten thousand miles away, lots of midnight oil gets burned to make sure your project is completed as quickly and smoothly as possible. Launch & Maintenance
The next step is where the champagne corks pop: the website goes live, the new marketing materials ship, or the video is broadcast. After the confetti has been swept up, we'll deliver you an archival copy of your project on a shiny new CD-ROM or DVD-ROM but unlike some consultants, our involvement doesn't end there. We understand that even the most highly-polished projects have a funny way of changing on you. Employees change titles, a new product gets added to the catalog... That's why we encourage all clients to also sign up for a Dreamsbay service contract. These yearly support plans offer up to two hours of edits, additions or other forms of maintenance per month at a near-60% discount. It's a great way to keep your new investment feeling current for a good time to come.
So, go ahead. Dream something. We're here to help you make it real. |
